I confirm that I will drive this round (yes/no): yes
Yes, we did have a race. It was great, 10 cars at the finish, and some rather close racing for that car. Thanks for picking this combo, it seems that everyone liked it.
Hmm, this was IIRC when Mosley announced the budget cap(which was later scrapped).
Starting a proper F1 team from scratch is near impossible today with no budget cap, and I really don't see ART risking their whole operation over an half-baked F1 ego-trip, really not their kind.
But if one day a restrictibe budget cap come back into play(and I do belive it's a necessary step, although the big spenders will not agree and will most likely play hard-ball until it gets adopted), then who knows.
Can't see the point of this personally. While I see no genuine benefit, it will unfairly screw people trying to stretch their stints, and put an extra workload on the officials(keeping in mind that one of them will be driving the Safety Car in the meantime, and therefore will be unable to monitor the pitlane infridgements for the duration of the Safety Car period).
The "closed pit" rule is primarily used in real life to protect the lifes of the track marshalls, and therefore it is completely irrelevant in an online environment with no track workers(although one could use the very same argument against Safety Car procedures, but that's another debate).
But at the end of the day you're the boss, so we'll have to accept and obey this rule for now.
Yes, I hope that this rule will be enforced properly.
Please do keep in mind that:
1) It is not unlikely to see people ignoring that rule by sheer negligence, especially as it has been announced only 14 hours before the stary.
2) One can gain a significant amount of time by ignoring this rule(for example, see Nico Rosberg at the 2008 Singapore GP).
3) A Drive Through penalty does not have a big impact in terms of time loss at FE3.
So basically they are now putting all their eggs on the same basket(Gary Paffett).
They already let two of their best elements slip away over the last 2 years(Bruno Spengler and Jamie Green), without naming a single equal replacement afterwards. This might bite them very soon.
First of all, don't worry, vote bans are not a big deal, they only last 12 hours.
No offense to drag racing fans, but it seems that LFS' demo drag racing servers tend to attract a very "special" crowd, so IMHO this is what you should avoid, not Portugal based servers.
Unfortunately you'll always find a few jerks on public servers. But on some servers you just find more of them than on others... Anyway, as long as they're the minority you can always have a good experience, if you manage to avoid them on track.
Feeling really sorry for Katherine Legge. She worked her ass off to get on the grid, introduced TrueCar to the sport, had to deal with all sort of crap in what was supposed to be a learning season, still managed to bag a solid 9th place in her final outing, and now as only reward she is basically told to **** off by her team and her sponsor, despite seemingly having a contract in place for 2013:mad:
Considering that she's threatening for legal actions probably not...
Could you please clarify what sort of situation may cause a Safety Car deployment?(I suppose if a car ends up on its roof, and only that, but I prefer to be sure about it)
No wave around during Safety Cars, right(unless there is a car between the Safety Car and the leader of course)?
Also, what are the "medical cars" for?
I would just like to point out that Rony will have one of his bi-monthly events on that particular evening, in case you weren't aware already.
